Police: Man Found Dead In Car Outside His Penn Township Home

A 49-year-old man was found dead in a car on Sunday morning, according to North Lancaster County Regional police.

Lyle Scott Doyle's body was discovered on the 100 block of Cedar Street in Penn Township Lancaster County, where he lives, authorities said.

Doyle’s relatives in Arizona and have been notified of the death.

Hours prior to his death, Doyle and a woman attended multiple house parties in Manheim Borough while taking illicit drugs, say police.

The woman told police they were picked up by a friend around 11 p.m. and driven to the man’s home 100 block of Penn Valley Village Road, Penn Township.

The owner of the car went into the residence and fell asleep. When the woman awoke and found him unresponsive she called the police.

Police are awaiting a toxicology report from the Lancaster County Coroner's Office to determine the cause of death. The circumstances surrounding Doyle's death are not considered to be suspicious or criminal in nature and are likely the result of pre-existing medical conditions and other impacting factors.
